I take a great deal of care in matching families and puppies. As I know them best, I use an allocation process coupled with a few possible choices that match your requirements if you are high on the waiting list.
To go on the waiting list, a deposit of $300 is paid. This is refundable, only if I am unable to supply a suitable pup. The likely wait will be discussed when you go on the waiting list.
I do temperament testing at 6 weeks to assess the pups. I try to match the most boisterous and busy pups with families who will use their drive and intelligence and give them lots of training and company. Less self-assured pups are carefully placed with quieter families. Then there are lots of mellow, confident pups in the middle!
To assist this process, if you are ready to put your name on the list, please complete our On-line Adoption Form or download our Printable Version (pdf) fill it out and fax it to me on 09 4383297.

Sometimes families are ready to have a puppy at home but work committments are greater than what would be ideal for raising a new puppy.
A tired puppy is a very well behaved puppy usually. Behaviour problems are frequently the result of not enough play-time, too much time alone and boredom. Labradoodles have the capacity to make their own fun and sometimes that is in directions you would not prefer.
I encourage families to link up with other owners of a puppy of similar age. If the pups can have 2-3 romps together in the week and maybe spend a bit of time together whilst parents work, then it can work really well.

I take the breeding of healthy dogs very seriously. I encourage owners to let me know of any difficulties they are facing and this information helps me to judge the success of certain breeding combinations and to plan future matings accordingly.
Every dog has recessive genes that we know nothing about until unmasked in the off-spring by a mate with a similar gene flaw. We do our best to select breeding stock without joint, eye, skin or other problems.
Should serious genetic problems arise in your puppy before two years of age, we are always willing to pay for vet bills up to the value of the puppy upon presentation of these. Should it be a very serious problem, we woud offer a new puppy.
Many owners take out pet health insurance as an extra safe-guard. Ask your vet about that.

Occasionally, life takes unforeseen twists. Family members get sick, jobs change, marraiges break-up etc etc
It is always difficult for everyone in these circumstances but sometimes the pet is the one that loses their home. In such times, I like to be aware of your circumstances and to help where possible. It will not always be possible for me to take the dog back owing to limitations of dog numbers here at home. However I am always getting requests from people wanting older dogs and I am happy to advertise the dog on the web-site and to put you in touch with prospective new owners.
