Everything you need
to know about your Labradoodleland puppy.

Raising Our Puppies

Each darling puppy in every litter gets individual attention. From day one puppies weights are taken each day which allows us to see that every puppy is getting enough milk. They are also handled and stroked regularly, this lowers blood pressure, calms and gets them used to people.

We start Early Neurological Stimulation, this means from days 3-16 we do certain exercises that wake up a puppy’s adrenal, heart and nervous systems. These exercises build stronger heart beats and rates, adrenal systems that can work faster when necessary and a greater ability to cope with stress and more resistance to disease - for the rest of their lives

Matching Each Precious Puppy

It’s a huge privilege to work in this role and one of the most important parts is matching each gorgeous puppy to the right home for them and for their new family of course.

We get to know the pups well, they each have their own personality and from this I know the type of companion they will make. Some love to have plenty to do and are matched with people who have time and are happy to extend them with extra training and possibly agility or running. Others may be more placid and content with a cuddle, playtime and a walk around the park and then there are the ones that may be a little quieter and so suit a quieter, less active family.

We do allow families to be involved and can sometimes offer some choice from puppies that have been chosen to suit your situation. We don't encourage people to make a choice based on photos and the look of the puppy only.

What You Need To Know Before Purchasing A Puppy

  1. We can transport your puppy throughout New Zealand

  2. Decide when the right time is for you to welcome a puppy.

  3. Please email us via our Contact Page and we will send you our forms to complete, this gives us the information needed to choose the best puppy for your situation and lifestyle.

  4. If you choose to go on our Waiting Lists there is a $500 including GST deposit, as we hold a space for you for one of our puppies. Once a pregnancy is confirmed or a litter is born then further payments are due. This procedure helps us to streamline the availability of our puppies by creating a commitment between us and assists in preventing disappointment and wasted time.

  5. This amount is deducted from the purchase price of $2500.00 plus GST. This is our general price please see below for more information.

  6. We finalise our puppy allocations at the 7th week mark when we can assess temperament, this way each precious puppy has the opportunity of spending its life with the best family/person for them. We consult with our clients and discuss puppies that best suit them.

  7. We allow visits once your puppy has had its first vaccination and we have protocols in place to protect our puppies health.

  8. During the time you are patiently waiting for your Wee One to mature we will keep you up to date as we are able with photos and emails and of course you can contact us anytime with questions.

  9. Please note that we do not routinely send test results of each parent to our clients.

Our Terms & Conditions

Our puppies are bred as pets only not for breeding; we require a signed de-sexing agreement.

Our Waiting List fee of $500.00 including GST will only be refunded if Labradoodleland is unable to provide a puppy, within the clients reasonable timeframe and preferences. Otherwise the waiting list fee of $500.00 including GST is non-refundable, however it can be transferred to another litter. We have a fee as we hold a place for our clients on a litter’s waiting list, if a client decides not to go forward with us/goes with another breeder we then need to find another client for that puppy. This helps us to streamline the availability of our puppies plus avoid disappointing any of our valued families. The Waiting List fee is included in the full price of the puppy.

We often have phonecalls with our clients and we may ask many questions, this is not to offend, merely to help us best place our puppies and dogs.

During the time you are on our waiting lists we reserve the right to increase the price of our puppies.

Please note. Until such a time that a specific puppy has been offered and accepted by the applicant, the price at the time of completion of the application form is indicative only.

We also reserve the right to refuse the sale of a puppy, even if a waiting list fee and other monies have been paid. In these cases, we will refund all monies.

Over the years we have built a good relationship with likeminded breeders in Australia. This allows us to introduce essential new breeding lines from time to time. These new lines widen our gene pool to allow us to continue to produce our healthy puppies.

Our Contract with these breeders requires us to follow their own normal business practice which is to de-sex these puppies before they leave us at around 9 weeks of age.

The prices of these puppies will reflect the extra costs of de-sexing and 2nd vaccination so may be a higher cost than our regular price of $2500.00 plus GST. You will be informed at the time a litter is born or earlier if possible, if this occurs.

All puppies are to be paid for in full before pick up, drop off or flight departure.

We do everything possible to help create healthy puppies, however, please be aware that things can still occur. For example hip dysplasia can occur despite the tests we do.

We do not offer certificates/papers for our puppies.

Taking Your Puppy Home

Your puppy is able to leave us at 8 weeks of age and will have had its first vaccination at 6 weeks along with all necessary worming protocols. A puppy pack is also supplied that includes many items that will help you during the first few weeks and beyond and we are just a phone call away should you have any questions.

Visits Are By Appointment

Our puppies and adult dogs safety is our highest concern.

Visits are organised once puppies have had their first vaccination at six weeks old. We do this to protect our property and dogs from diseases that can be unintentionally walked in.  All visitors must have an application and deposit on file unless otherwise arranged. Most puppy visits are done in Mangawhai.

We do understand people get excited and want to meet their new puppy, however we do need to put the health and care of our dogs and puppies.

We also reserve the right to refuse the sale of a puppy.

Thank you for your understanding.

Desexing Agreement

We do not routinely de-sex our puppies before they leave us for their new homes, we do however require a signed de-sexing agreement.  We adhere strongly to the signing of our de-sexing agreement where you’re puppy is de-sexed at 12 months of age and we require a copy of the de-sexing certificate received from the veterinarian. Our puppies are bred and sold as pets only not for breeding.

Importing New Lines

We do need to import new lines from overseas to increase our bloodlines and when we do,  we are required to desex the puppies before they leave us. We do this to honour the requirements of the breeders who have worked hard to set up their breeding programmes in their countries.

Breeder Selection

We reserve the right to choose puppies from our litters to further our breeding programme, so sometimes a puppy you see may not be available.

Rehoming

If at any time your situation changes and you are no longer able to keep your Labradoodle then please contact us so that we may assist in whatever way we can. We often receive enquiries for older dogs and there is also the opportunity to advertise on our website.

Therapy Dogs

Labradoodles can make exceptional therapy dogs, offering that extra comfort and attention when needed.

I have had personal experience of the difference a dog can make in people’s lives. When I was severely injured in my 20’s we were fortunate to have a lovely therapy dog visit the hospital I was in, one day a week. That dog gave us all something else to focus on, stroke and whisper our problems to.

I have seen many children and teenagers, including my own throw themselves into a dog when they need a cuddle, it releases the anxiety or sadness they can be feeling. It’s interesting, my adult sons arrive home and may not say hello to me, but the dogs are all snuggled in, and sometimes all at once!!
